Sycamore Brewing Faces Major Backlash Following Co-Owner’s Arrest
In a swift response to recent allegations, three prominent grocery chains have decided to discontinue Sycamore Brewing products. This decision follows the arrest of the brewery’s co-owner, who faces serious charges involving a minor.
Retailers such as Food Lion, Lowes Foods, and Publix have confirmed the removal of Sycamore craft beers from their stores. Additionally, several establishments within the local dining scene, including Bargarita, 204 North Kitchen and Cocktails, and Hoppin’ Charlotte, have severed ties with the brewery.
Justin Brigham, a co-founder of Sycamore Brewing, has been apprehended and is currently detained with a $10 million bond.
“The 911 call was reporting that an unknown adult male had been located in a 13-year-old juvenile female’s bedroom by her parents. Upon arrival, a male who was completely undressed was located in a nearby vehicle,” stated the Stanly County Sheriff’s Office regarding the circumstances of the arrest.
In response to these developments, Sycamore Brewing has announced that Brigham has relinquished all ownership stakes, and the company will be led by his wife, Sarah Taylor, moving forward.
