Appling now faces multiple charges, as indicated by the Athens-Clarke County arrest records. She is being charged with a felony for serious injury by vehicle, alongside three misdemeanors: driving under the influence, reckless driving, and possession of drug-related objects.
This event is not an isolated case in Appling’s driving history. Her record includes a series of arrests spanning various Georgia counties since the mid-2000s, with previous charges that include misdemeanor shoplifting, criminal trespass, and reckless driving.
The crash resulted in injuries to five individuals, among them a Kroger employee, highlighting the severity of the incident.
