Mahoning Drive-In Theater Presents Cult Classics

Kicking off its 2025 season, the Mahoning Drive-In Theater in Carbon County invites film enthusiasts to experience “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” along with its sequel, “Shock Treatment,” on the big screen in Lehighton. Fans can look forward to a 35mm film presentation, costume contests, and live music courtesy of a DJ, all complemented by themed concessions.

Mahoning Drive-In Theater

The Mahoning Drive-In Theater will host “The Rocky Horror Drive-In Picture Show” Apr. 25 and 26.

Owner Virgil Cardamone commented, “We have become that ultimate fan space. I fully expect the fans to wear their fandom on their sleeve, and we’re going to see a lot of fishnets.” The theater will show films from Thursday to Sunday until Halloween, with special events like ZombieFest and Muppets Take Mahoning planned. Gates open at 6 p.m., and screenings start at sunset. Adult tickets are $12, while children’s tickets are $5.

Experience the beauty of art in nature at the Grey Towers Heritage Association’s plein air event this Sunday in Milford. A French tradition, plein air refers to painting outdoors, offering a chance to witness artists capturing the natural beauty of the Grey Towers National Historic Site in Pike County.

Fishing Fun for Kids at Pike County Derby

Young anglers have the chance to reel in some prizes at the 27th Annual Commissioners Fishing Derby, hosted by the Pike County Commissioners this Saturday at Lily Pond. The event, which runs from 8 a.m. to noon, is open to children 15 and under, offering them an opportunity to catch trout and win exciting prizes like fishing poles and tackle boxes.

Registration is free, and the event will take place rain or shine. Participants must bring their own tackle and bait and should be accompanied by an adult.
