A New Chapter for Former Rival: Rebekah Allick Joins League One Volleyball in Wisconsin

Rebekah Allick, a standout senior middle blocker, is set to embrace her new surroundings in Madison, Wisconsin, a city she once knew as home to a former rival. On Friday, Husker Athletics revealed Allick’s upcoming participation in the League One Volleyball program for the 2026 season, a notable move for the athlete who has spent her college years playing against Wisconsin’s Big Ten team, the Badgers.

Allick’s impressive performance on the court earned her second-team All-American honors earlier this week. With a team-leading average of 1.27 kills per set and an impressive .450 hitting percentage, she secured the fourth spot in school history for single-season marks, as reported by NU.

In related news, the Major League Volleyball Draft saw two other Huskers making their mark. Taylor Landfair was picked 28th overall by the Indy Ignite, while the Omaha Supernovas chose Allie Sczech with the 29th pick. More details about their selections can be found here.

The Nebraska Cornhuskers wrapped up an impressive season with a 33-1 record, falling short in their final match against Texas A&M in the Elite Eight. The thrilling match ended 3-2 in favor of Texas A&M, marking the end of a remarkable campaign for Nebraska. A detailed account of that match is available here.

As for Allick’s new team, LOVB Madison, they are gearing up for their season opener against Salt Lake City, scheduled for January 10 at 7 p.m. CT. The team’s home games, including this anticipated match, will take place at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum, also known as the Alliant Energy Center.
