North Carolina’s August Employment Figures Released

Raleigh, N.C.

Governor Josh Stein announced that VectorTex USA, LLC will be creating 44 new jobs in Bladen County, North Carolina. The company is set to invest over $6 million in establishing its first North American manufacturing facility in Elizabethtown. This move is seen as a significant boost to the local economy, with the new jobs potentially impacting the region’s annual payroll by over $2 million. The initiative is supported by a performance-based grant of $120,000 from the One North Carolina Fund.

VectorTex USA is a subsidiary of Vector Technologies, an Australian manufacturer serving industries such as life sciences and automotive. The new facility will be a 25,000-square-foot production and innovation hub, strategically located to better serve key U.S. customers. This expansion is expected to shorten supply chains and enhance the company’s global engineering and production capabilities.

Governor Stein expressed optimism about the economic impact of VectorTex’s decision, stating it would strengthen North Carolina’s rural economy. The company acknowledged the support from North Carolina and Bladen County, emphasizing the importance of local partnerships in their expansion efforts.

The average salary for the newly created positions will be approximately $48,136, aligning closely with the current average wage in Bladen County. The One North Carolina Fund grant requires VectorTex to meet specific job creation and investment targets, with matching contributions from local governments.

Other key partners in the project include the North Carolina Department of Commerce, the Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina, and various local organizations and educational institutions. This collaborative effort aims to bolster Bladen County’s economy and demonstrate the viability of rural North Carolina for business growth.
