Athens Restaurant Week Brings Culinary Delights and Shopping Fun
As the week begins, Athens transforms into a hub of gastronomic delight with the onset of Athens Restaurant Week. This annual celebration features special menus and pricing, engaging more than 70 local dining spots including restaurants, breweries, and coffee shops. In a bid to enhance the experience, a novel event is set to debut this Thursday night, dubbed “Eat the Town, Shop the Block.”
Shannon Adams from Visit Athens elaborates on this new initiative, stating, “So, that’s a brand-new way that we’re trying to incorporate local retail businesses. So specifically, we created a map so you can see what retail businesses are offering discounts that night and what Restaurant Week restaurants are along the same route so that you can sort of shop and snack as you go.”
The festivities are scheduled to run through July 19, offering residents and visitors alike the chance to explore the eclectic culinary scene of Athens while enjoying exclusive shopping deals. This integration of dining and retail provides a unique opportunity to experience the vibrant community spirit of the area.
