Childhood Advice That Impacted Your Life

What advice did you receive as a child that has stayed with you?

“The secret to becoming a good writer is to read. Read everything, and read often.”

This sage advice came from my grandfather, delivered from his favorite green leather chair. Despite his occasional disregard for his own advice, as evidenced by the lit cigar in his hand, he had a wealth of wisdom to share. This was one of his gems, and it resonated deeply with me.

As we delve into topics concerning youth education for our next edition of Positive News magazine, we felt it would be a good idea to ask our readers about the childhood lessons that have remained with them throughout their lives.

We’re open to hearing all sorts of wisdom passed down through the generations. Whether it’s a transformative fable, a handy gardening tip, or a style secret to make you stand out, we’d love to hear it. Selected responses will be featured in our forthcoming article, creating a wealth of knowledge for other readers to explore.
