Community Input Sought for Selecting New Clarke County School Superintendent
The Clarke County Board of Education is actively seeking the community’s input as it searches for a new school superintendent. Residents, including district families, staff, and students, are encouraged to participate in a six-question survey that remains open until Saturday, January 31, 2026.
In an effort to ensure a thorough selection process, the board decided in September 2025 to collaborate with the Georgia School Boards Association (GSBA). The superintendent position is currently advertised on the GSBA website, with applications being accepted through Sunday, February 1, 2026.
Ongoing updates regarding the search will be provided by the Board of Education. Additional details can be found by visiting GSBA.com/superintendent-search/.
Dr. Jennifer Scott is serving as the Interim Superintendent following Dr. Robbie Hooker’s retirement on July 1, 2025.
