Reno-Tahoe Airport Braces for High Traffic During Spring Break
As spring break approaches, Reno-Tahoe International Airport is preparing for a surge in travelers. Officials anticipate daily passenger numbers could reach up to 16,000, as many embark on their spring break getaways. The airport has offered several recommendations to assist travelers in having a seamless journey.
Despite the ongoing partial government shutdown, which has impacted TSA workers, Reno-Tahoe Airport reports no delays or increased screening wait times. However, they advise travelers to arrive at least two hours before their flight departs to ensure ample time for check-in and security procedures.
Travelers are also advised to stay informed by regularly checking updates from both the airport and their airline. Additionally, due to limited parking availability, it is recommended that passengers secure a parking spot in advance by reserving a space in the airport’s parking garage.
