Emerald Bay Shuttle Returns: Reducing Traffic Till Labor Day

Emerald Bay Shuttle returns for summer

Seasonal Transportation Solution Returns to Lake Tahoe’s Emerald Bay

With the return of summer, the Emerald Bay Shuttle is back in service as of June 26. This seasonal shuttle will operate every day until Labor Day, offering a convenient travel option for those journeying between the South and West Shore communities, as well as popular destinations like Emerald Bay and the Eagle Falls Trailhead.

Transportation authorities have reintroduced this service to alleviate the heavy traffic and mitigate the risks associated with roadside parking along the bustling Emerald Bay corridor. The shuttle aims to offer a hassle-free alternative for visitors and locals alike, operating until 5 p.m. daily throughout the summer months.

Motorists should also be mindful of heightened parking restrictions that accompany the shuttle’s return. Last year, over 200 parking citations were issued by the California Highway Patrol in the Emerald Bay area, underscoring the importance of adhering to legal parking guidelines.

For those looking to secure their spot on the shuttle, online reservations are now open, providing a streamlined process for planning your trip to this scenic locale.
