University of Georgia Raises Record $300.4 Million in 2025 Fundraising

UGA Sets Fundraising Record with $300.4 Million in Private Support

University of Georgia Achieves New Fundraising Milestone

In a significant milestone, the University of Georgia has reported an unprecedented achievement in its fundraising efforts, gathering $300.4 million in private support during the fiscal year 2025. This marks the first time the university has crossed the $300 million threshold, thanks to the generosity of over 72,460 donors, including alumni, students, parents, and corporate partners.

The funds raised have been pivotal in supporting essential initiatives at the university. Among these, privately funded scholarships have directly benefited more than 9,500 students this academic year. A major portion of the fundraising success is attributed to the School of Medicine, which received $100 million for its new Medical Education and Research Building within a year of the project’s announcement.

Additional fundraising achievements include the Parents Leadership Council’s contribution of $1.5 million, a Senior Signature campaign that set a new record with over $115,000, and an impressive turnout of over 13,000 gifts during the Dawg Day of Giving.

President Jere W. Morehead expressed his gratitude towards the donors, emphasizing their critical role in propelling the university’s mission. He stated, “Our donors’ support is essential to advancing education, research, and healthcare in Georgia, and I’m grateful for their commitment to UGA’s mission of excellence.”
