An Act of Integrity by an Amazon Driver Captivates a California Community

A heartwarming story of honesty is capturing attention, following the commendable actions of an Amazon delivery driver in Cottonwood, California.

While on a delivery route last week, Connor Drake, an Amazon driver, stumbled upon an unexpected sight—a $20 bill lying on a customer’s lawn. Demonstrating integrity, Drake ensured the money was safe by placing it under the package he was leaving at the doorstep.
Later, the homeowners, upon reviewing footage from their doorbell camera, discovered the considerate act. They recognized the cash as theirs, having unknowingly dropped it earlier in the day.
In response, Monica Luiz took to social media to share the surveillance video.
“If anyone sees this Amazon driver, please send him to contact me so I can THANK him personally for picking up $20 I dropped on my walkway and putting it under my package! His honesty and integrity didn’t go unnoticed!” Luiz expressed.
The online community soon rallied around the story, and through Amazon’s management, Luiz managed to connect with Drake, arranging a special delivery the following day.
To show her gratitude, Luiz presented Drake with a gift, though he chose to keep the details private.
She expressed that the deed was more than just the return of lost money.
“I just wanted to thank him for reminding me that people like him do exist,” Luiz said. “His honest integrity was so innocent and natural. It couldn’t have been a more authentic interaction.”
