Georgia Film Executive Enters Congressional Race
In a dynamic shift within Georgia’s political landscape, Ryan Millsap, recognized for his leadership in the state’s film industry, has declared his candidacy for the U.S. Congress. This announcement was made through a video shared on his social media platforms and campaign website.
“I’m Ryan Millsap, political outsider and MAGA warrior,” Millsap emphatically stated in his campaign advertisement.
Millsap is set to challenge Athens native and current Georgia state representative, Gaines, in the Republican primary. Although both candidates address similar issues, Millsap positions himself as a distinct alternative to Gaines.
Among Millsap’s campaign priorities outlined in the video are curbing illegal immigration, enacting national voter ID legislation, and prohibiting hormone therapy for minors.
The race for the 10th District seat has attracted additional contenders. Republican Jeffrey Dwayne Baker and Democrats Lexy Doherty, John Dority, and Pam Delancy have all qualified to compete.
