Animal Services Department Updates Shelter and Field Service Operations
The Animal Services Department has implemented new operational hours for its shelter and field services, aiming to enhance the efficiency of essential tasks such as cleaning, training, and case management.
Effective March 9, the Animal Shelter will remain closed to the public every Monday. Operating hours from Tuesday to Saturday are set from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., while Sunday hours are scheduled from noon to 3 p.m.
Field services will maintain full operational capacity from Tuesday through Friday between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. On weekends and Mondays, emergency field services are accessible via on-call support.
Residents facing urgent animal-related issues, including bites, aggressive behavior, injuries, or welfare concerns, are advised to contact 911 for assistance.
According to officials, the revised schedule will enable staff to manage daily operations more effectively while still addressing urgent animal-related emergencies within the community.
