UGA Engineering Gets Historic $5M Gift for Scholarships and Support

Nancy and Les Juneau make $5 million commitment to UGA Engineering

Historic Contribution Boosts UGA Engineering with Scholarship Support

The University of Georgia’s College of Engineering has announced a transformative financial commitment from Nancy and Les Juneau, marking a significant milestone in the college’s history. The Juneaus are pledging $5 million to enhance the college’s initiatives and provide essential need-based scholarships for engineering students starting in the fall of 2026. Of this amount, $4 million is allocated to bolster the college’s strategic goals, while the other $1 million will establish the Juneau Construction Engineering Scholarship Fund. This fund aims to support undergraduate students with financial needs, and the UGA Foundation will match it with an additional $1 million.

“Les and I have always believed that education is the ultimate foundation for success, and we have seen firsthand the incredible impact UGA Engineering students and alumni have on our industry every day,” stated Nancy Juneau.

Nancy Juneau, an alumna of UGA, along with her husband Les, co-founded the Atlanta-based Juneau Construction Company. Since 2012, the company has collaborated with UGA Engineering, contributing to the academic community through guest lectures, career fairs, and support for student organizations.

Dean Alex Orso expressed his gratitude, saying, “We are beyond grateful to the Juneaus for their steadfast support of the UGA College of Engineering. Their investment — the largest individual commitment in the college’s history — will impact countless students for many years to come and sends a powerful message about what this college can achieve.”

The Juneaus’ philanthropic efforts extend beyond engineering, as they have made annual donations to every school and college within UGA.
