LEGO Enthusiast Transforms U-M Landmarks and More into Stunning Brick Creations

In the world of LEGO building, few can match the creativity and dedication of Adam Mael, who has crafted impressive replicas of University of Michigan landmarks and more. His journey began with a detailed LEGO model of the Diag and surrounding structures in 2020, and since then, his portfolio has expanded significantly.

Mael’s latest works will be showcased on February 28 and March 1 at Brick Bash, hosted at Skyline High School. Among his notable creations are a LEGO replica of the national championship trophy, completed after the Wolverines’ 2023 victory, and a Michigan winged helmet crafted for the Alumni Center.

His passion for LEGO extends beyond university-themed projects. Mael has created intricate replicas of The Cube, or “Endover,” and an homage to an art piece titled “3 Cubes in a Seven Axis Relationship” located outside the G.G. Brown Building. Additionally, Mael fashioned impressive mosaics of his golden retrievers, Maple and Willow, using approximately 13,000 LEGO pieces.
