Hoffmaster Group’s Expansion in Clintonville: A Boost for Local Employment
Hoffmaster Group, a prominent tableware manufacturer based in Fox Valley, has announced a significant expansion of its operations in rural Clintonville. The company plans to invest $65 million in expanding its manufacturing plant, which will lead to the creation of over 100 new manufacturing jobs.
The expansion project is being supported by the Wisconsin Economic Development Corp. (WEDC), which has authorized up to $1 million in state tax credits for Hoffmaster over the next three years. These credits will be contingent on the number of jobs created and the capital investment made by the company. Read more here.
In a statement, Hoffmaster CEO Craig Cappel expressed enthusiasm about the expansion, describing it as “an exciting step forward” for the company. He added, “We’re proud to expand our manufacturing footprint in Wisconsin. This investment allows us to better support our customers, create new opportunities for our team members, and contribute to economic growth across Northeast Wisconsin.”
Hoffmaster’s Clintonville plant specializes in producing paper plates, napkins, table covers, and baking paper. The expansion is expected to significantly increase the plant’s capacity, particularly in doubling its paper plate production to meet the growing market demand.
Aaron Holt, Chief Financial Officer at Hoffmaster, emphasized the importance of this development: “The biggest impact of this expansion is our ability to continue growing alongside our customers. Many of those customers are experiencing rapid growth, and this investment ensures we can continue supporting their needs.”
While Clintonville is a key location for Hoffmaster, the company also maintains a manufacturing facility and corporate offices in Oshkosh, where it was originally established in 1947.
WEDC Secretary John Miller commented on the partnership with Hoffmaster, stating that the agency was “pleased to partner” with the company to foster economic development and to help “ensure Wisconsin’s paper industry will hold its global lead.” Learn more here.
