Full SNAP Benefits to Reach North Carolina Families Sooner Than Expected

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS) has announced an expedited timeline for the distribution of full Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits for November. This news signals a relief for many families who rely on this vital support.

On Friday, NCDHHS received confirmation from the U.S. Department of Agriculture that full funding for the program would be available this month. As a result, enrollees who initially received only partial payments earlier that day can expect the remaining funds to be distributed as soon as this weekend.

Dr. Dev Sangvai, Secretary of NCDHHS, stated that officials are working diligently to ensure the swift allocation of the remaining SNAP benefits. This development is crucial for the over 586,000 families in North Carolina who depend on these benefits.
