“Hang in there, buddy. I’m going to get you out,” Sgt. Bordin was heard reassuring the panicking dog, before breaking a window to free the animal.

The dog, showing unmistakable symptoms of heat exhaustion, gratefully drank a liter of water provided by the officer after being rescued. Following the dramatic rescue, the canine was taken for a comprehensive medical check-up to ensure her health. Despite finding the dog’s owner, the dog remains in the custody of animal services while the incident is under investigation.
