Chicken wing enthusiasts will be gathering for the 3rd annual Swoyersville Chicken Wing Fling, a much-anticipated event for food lovers in the region.
Local favorites such as Murphy’s Pub, R Bar and Grill, and Mountaintop Pub & Eatery will serve their best wings, while a judging panel will select the top pick. Visitors can also enjoy crafts, additional food stalls, and live music from local bands.
Organized by Swoyersville Parks & Recreation along with the team behind the NEPA Chicken Wing Bulletin on Facebook, the event will run on Saturday and Sunday from 12 to 5 p.m., celebrating the robust community of chicken wing lovers in NEPA.
Experience the Moscow Country Street Fair
The Moscow Country Street Fair promises three days packed with parades, races, games, and entertainment.
Events kick off Thursday evening with family game night and kids’ karaoke. Friday features a foam party at 8 p.m. and a glo party at 9 p.m. Other highlights include a hometown parade on Friday at 7 p.m., a tractor parade on Saturday at 6 p.m., and a one-mile race Saturday morning.
Adults can enjoy a paint and sip on Thursday and karaoke on Saturday. The fair runs Thursday and Friday from 4 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Main Street.

The annual Christmas in July event in Lehighton offers a warm-weather twist on holiday festivities.
Shop at the Lehighton Farmer’s Market with a holiday theme, participate in a raffle for a Blackstone grill, and enjoy Christmas music and decorations. This festive event takes place Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 1 Constitution Ave., Lehighton.

Train enthusiasts can step back in time at the Anthracite Model Railroad Society’s open house in Hazle Twp., Luzerne County. The display, spanning 2,000 square feet, showcases the greater Hazleton area in the mid-1900s.
Meticulously created miniatures of coal breakers, train stations, and natural scenery bring history to life. The event offers free admission and is open from noon to 5 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday at 1056 Hanover Ct., Hazle Twp.
