The Hawk Fire Approaches Full Containment as Damage Assessment Continues
As firefighting efforts progress, the Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District has made significant strides in controlling the Hawk Fire. By 5 p.m. on Tuesday, containment reached 85%, according to information provided to KUNR.
The fire’s impact has been substantial, with 47 structures confirmed destroyed and another eight sustaining damage. In addition, one commercial building has also been lost to the blaze. Despite the destruction, there have been no reported fatalities.
