Prescription Medication Thefts Reported at University of Georgia
Several incidents of burglary have been reported at Morris Hall on the University of Georgia campus, raising concerns about unsecured personal property. The incidents, occurring last week, involved the theft of prescription medications from rooms that were left unlocked.
The University of Georgia Police Department has noted that these thefts did not involve any forced entry or property damage, indicating that the suspect may be taking advantage of unsecured doors. Importantly, there have been no reports of violence or direct contact between the suspect and any victims, and authorities have stated that there is no immediate threat to the community.
In light of these events, the UGA Police are advising students and faculty to ensure their doors are locked at all times to prevent further thefts. They are also encouraging anyone who might have observed suspicious activities related to these incidents to reach out to them at 706-542-2200.
