Vice President JD Vance to Speak at Classic Center as Part of National Tour
The Akins Ford Arena at the Classic Center will be buzzing with political discourse on April 14th, as Vice President JD Vance and Erika Kirk are slated to make a stop in Athens. This visit is part of a larger initiative organized by Turning Point USA, aimed at energizing young voters.
This event is one of five stops on the “This Is the Turning Point Tour.” The tour seeks to engage college students in political discussions, continuing the legacy of Turning Point USA’s late founder, Charlie Kirk. Doors will open at 1 p.m. for the Athens event, with the main program scheduled to start at 5 p.m. While admission is free, attendees must RSVP beforehand, and seating will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
Turning Point USA (TPUSA) is a nonprofit organization that promotes conservative values to students through events held at high schools and universities. The Athens appearance is anticipated to be a key event, alongside other stops in college towns nationwide.
