Local Educator Seeks District 7 Seat on Clarke County School Board
In the upcoming election, residents of Clarke County will have the opportunity to vote for a new District 7 representative on the Board of Education. Among the candidates is Lillie Brooks, an Athens community member and former educator, who aims to bring her experience in teaching to the board. Brooks recently shared her vision and plans for the district in an interview with WUGA’s Emma Auer.
Lillie Brooks is campaigning for a position that she believes can significantly impact local education. Her background as a teacher provides her with firsthand insight into the needs and challenges faced by students and staff alike. Brooks’ platform focuses on enhancing educational outcomes and addressing critical issues within the district.
The conversation with Auer provided voters with an opportunity to hear directly from Brooks about her objectives and strategies should she be elected. As the election approaches, Brooks is eager to connect with the community and discuss how her proposals could benefit the district’s schools.
