Guilford Technical Community College Unveils New AI Degree Program
In a bid to meet the growing demand for skilled professionals in the field of artificial intelligence, Guilford Technical Community College (GTCC) has introduced a new degree program dedicated to AI. This initiative marks a significant step in preparing students for the evolving job market.
The newly launched associate program spans 66 credit hours and is available both online and in-person starting this fall. GTCC aims to equip students with the necessary skills to excel in various roles, including AI engineering, data analysis, and machine learning specialization.
GTCC President Anthony Clarke emphasizes the program’s potential to enhance students’ economic mobility while addressing regional workforce demands. “This program is designed to open doors for our students, creating opportunities for them in a rapidly advancing industry,” Clarke notes.
In addition to the AI program, the college is also offering an associate degree in digital media technology, which students can complete in four semesters. This program is tailored to meet the needs of those interested in the digital media sector.
Furthermore, GTCC officials are rolling out shorter certificate programs in areas such as content creation and user experience design, catering to individuals seeking less intensive educational commitments.
