New Mobile Clinics to Enhance Health Services in Piedmont
The Piedmont region is set to benefit from two innovative mobile clinics launched by Cone Health, designed to address critical health needs in cardiovascular and reproductive care.
These mobile units will play a pivotal role in providing essential screenings and educational resources. One clinic will focus on cardiovascular health, offering screenings for high blood pressure, diabetes, and cholesterol levels. The other will cater to women’s health, concentrating on gynecological services, prenatal, and reproductive care.
According to a news release by the health system, heart disease continues to be a significant cause of mortality in Guilford County. Additionally, Guilford and Forsyth counties are reported to be among the lowest in North Carolina for early prenatal care accessibility.
The introduction of these mobile clinics aims to bridge the gap by delivering healthcare services directly to underserved communities, thereby facilitating better access to follow-up care for those in need.
The community is invited to attend a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the mobile clinics, scheduled for Monday at 10 a.m. at the Renaissance Shops.
