Georgia’s New Public Medical School Opens Doors for Aspiring Doctors

The state of Georgia is set to welcome its second public medical school as the University of Georgia School of Medicine opens its doors to future medical professionals. This exciting development comes as the institution begins accepting applications for its inaugural class.

To provide prospective students with a comprehensive overview of the campus and admissions procedure, the School of Medicine will host an in-person open house. This event is scheduled for February 27th from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Health Sciences Campus.

Interested candidates should note the application deadlines: primary applications are due by March 6th, while secondary applications must be submitted by March 13th. The admissions process includes rolling interviews, culminating in the final admissions decisions being announced in April. The school anticipates enrolling sixty students who will commence their studies in the fall.
