This June, immerse yourself in a captivating journey through opera with WPR Music’s broadcasts of Madison Opera’s 2025-26 season. Among the highlights is the world premiere of a new opera crafted by Wisconsin’s own composer, Matt Gendel.
These operatic broadcasts, scheduled for Saturdays at noon on WPR Music, are produced and hosted by Lori Skelton. Each program offers not only the rich sounds of the opera but also insightful interviews with the performers.
The series features performances from the Madison Opera Chorus, Madison Youth Choirs, and the Madison Symphony Orchestra, showcasing a blend of local talent and musical excellence.
