Stan Hays, the CEO and Founder of Operation BBQ Relief, revealed plans of distributing 10,000 to 15,000 meals daily during their relief mission in Texas. The organization’s initial efforts will concentrate on nourishing first responders and search and rescue teams, ensuring they are well-equipped to support the impacted communities.
“Until our presence is widely recognized in the community, we will coordinate with the state of Texas and emergency management to align our services with the areas of greatest need,” Hays stated.
Since its establishment in 2011, Operation BBQ Relief has served over 11 million meals across 36 states and the Bahamas. Their work symbolizes the power of kindness and community spirit in the face of adversity.
“The reaction of those we serve is incredibly rewarding, knowing that they may never be able to repay us for our act of kindness,” added Hays.
