High Point University Poll Reveals Pumpkin as Top Holiday Pie Choice
In a recent survey by High Point University, pumpkin pie has emerged as the favorite holiday pie both nationally and within North Carolina. This marks a significant preference for the seasonal favorite across the United States.
According to the poll, 28% of participants across the country and 23% of those from North Carolina selected pumpkin pie as their top choice.
Following pumpkin, apple, pecan, and sweet potato pies were also popular among respondents. Notably, sweet potato pie showed a significant regional preference, being chosen by 16% of North Carolinians compared to just 10% nationally.
Pumpkin pie has consistently topped the list for North Carolina residents since 2021. This year marked the inaugural national extension of High Point University’s annual pie survey.
