Measles Alert Issued in Guilford County Following Possible Exposure
Health authorities in Guilford County have issued a warning about a potential measles exposure in the region. This comes after an individual, who has been confirmed to have measles, traveled through the area.
The individual in question, who is not a resident of the state, visited a Wendy’s restaurant located on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in Greensboro last Friday. Patrons who were present at the establishment between 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. on March 13 are advised to be vigilant for any symptoms of the disease and to consult their healthcare provider if necessary.
Health officials emphasize the importance of the MMR (measles, mumps, and rubella) vaccine, stating it is the most effective measure to prevent measles.
