North Carolina Leads in Job Growth with Record 33,000 Announcements

A record-breaking year for job commitments in North Carolina

North Carolina’s Economic Boom: A Record Year for Job Announcements

In a significant economic milestone, North Carolina has witnessed an unprecedented surge in job announcements for the year 2025, with the Piedmont region playing a pivotal role. This development marks a record-setting achievement for the Tar Heel State.

Governor Josh Stein, along with state officials, has proudly announced commitments exceeding 33,000 jobs across various sectors, including advanced manufacturing, biotechnology, and aerospace. The influx of job opportunities is part of a broader investment strategy, totaling nearly $23 billion across close to 50 counties.

Randolph County stands out as a key beneficiary, hosting Toyota’s inaugural battery plant in North America. This facility is expected to provide employment for over 5,000 individuals. Additionally, Guilford County’s Piedmont Triad International Airport will soon be home to Jet Zero’s All-Wing Airplane manufacturing venture, projected to create more than 14,500 high-tech positions.

Further enhancing the state’s appeal, North Carolina was ranked by CNBC as the top state for business in the United States this summer. This recognition, attributed to the state’s robust workforce and thriving economy, has been achieved three times in the past four years.
