Reno Prepares for Incoming Storm with Wind Advisory and Snow Forecast
Residents of Reno can expect a high of 72 degrees today, accompanied by mostly clear skies. However, the day will also bring strong winds as the area prepares for an approaching storm system. A Lake Wind Advisory is in effect, with winds blowing consistently between 10 to 20 mph and gusts potentially reaching up to 35 mph.
Looking ahead, Central Nevada is bracing for even stronger winds tomorrow, as a High Wind Watch takes effect. Winds are predicted to intensify, ranging from 35 to 40 mph, with gusts surpassing 60 mph. In addition to the winds, snow is anticipated in the Sierra region, moving into Wednesday. Donner Pass is expected to receive up to 12 inches of snow by Tuesday night, with total snowfall possibly reaching 18 inches by Wednesday.
