Community Food Distribution Events to Support Families in Need
Residents in Northern Nevada will have the opportunity to access additional food supplies during a series of distributions scheduled for Saturday, November 15. These efforts aim to support individuals and families during uncertain times, particularly those affected by delays in SNAP benefits.
From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., a drive-thru food distribution will be available at 1305 Sullivan Lane, Sparks, conveniently located next to Jiffy Lube. For those without transportation, walk-up service will be provided to ensure everyone can receive assistance.
In addition to the Sparks location, food distributions will also be held at the New Frontier and Out of Egypt Pantry in Fallon, as well as the Carson Valley Food Closet in Gardnerville. These efforts are part of the ongoing commitment by the Food Bank of Northern Nevada to support the community.
While the timeline for the full release of SNAP benefits in November remains uncertain, these food distributions are a crucial resource for locals in need. The Food Bank of Northern Nevada continues to organize these events to provide necessary aid to the community.
