The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, responding with emergency crews, found Liam unresponsive, but they promptly administered lifesaving measures. Liam was then transported to Cook Children’s Medical Center, where he is expected to recover fully.
Authorities discovered that Patrick was the first to notice his brother in distress. Despite his young age, Patrick managed to pull Liam from the water, notify their mother, and seek additional help from a neighbor.
The Sheriff’s Office highlighted Patrick’s actions, stating, “In moments of crisis, even adults can freeze under pressure. Patrick did the opposite.”
