On April 7, the school faced a grave threat when a former student entered the premises armed. Moore confronted the danger head-on by tackling and helping to disarm the suspect in the lobby area, despite being shot in the leg during the altercation. His decisive actions, along with assistance from another staff member, averted what could have been a catastrophic mass shooting.
Fortunately, no students were harmed thanks to Moore’s intervention. For the student body, labeling him a ‘hero’ only scratches the surface of their gratitude. Naming him prom king served as a heartfelt thank you, marking a night of celebration with profound significance.
