Children Seek Solace in Pastor’s Prayer Following Disturbing Encounter

In a touching display of trust and community spirit, a group of young boys went straight to their pastor’s home for comfort after witnessing an unsettling event in their neighborhood, and the incident has since garnered widespread attention online.

While out biking around their neighborhood, the boys encountered a man they did not recognize, defacing property with graffiti. Feeling uneasy and in need of guidance, the boys turned to someone they trusted deeply — their local pastor.
The boys made their way to the home of Crystal Varner, co-leader of EQUIP Church, and were recorded by a doorbell camera as they knocked on her door. When Varner answered, the boys expressed their need for prayer to calm their nerves.
Without a moment’s delay, Pastor Varner obliged, providing them with the reassurance and comfort they sought. After the prayer, she extended an open invitation for them to return the following day.
As they departed, one boy summed up their experience by saying, “That’s why I love pastor.”
