On February 20, 2026, in the 321st District Court, young Cain Coles became the adopted son of Vandria and Tyrone Johnson. This event marked the conclusion of his two-year journey through foster care, embarking on a fresh chapter of belonging.
Instead of a routine legal affair, the court witnessed a scene of unity and joy.

With around 100 family members and close friends present, the courtroom was filled with emotion as Judge Robert Wilson finalized the adoption, granting Cain his new name: Alexander Kaine Johnson.
An adoption specialist from 4 Kids 4 Family reported to the court that Cain is “thriving in his home” and deeply connected to his new family.
The strength of these bonds was echoed by his adoptive parents.
“Kaine is a joy to have around everywhere he goes,” expressed Vandria and Tyrone Johnson. “He is kind, helpful and most spiritual… He loves to help any way he can. He especially likes to wear his suits.”
Tyrone Johnson reflected on their shared journey, stating, “He has grown a whole lot since the first time we got him, and he’s matured a whole lot, and I’m glad, I’m proud of him.”
For Cain, now known as Alexander Kaine Johnson, the experience was equally impactful.
“I really appreciate all they do for me,” he shared. “All my friends were with me and just very emotional with me… I thank them for being my friends.”

The moment’s significance was acknowledged by Judge Robert Wilson, who commended the family’s perseverance and dedication in forming a loving home.
“You didn’t give up,” he stated, underscoring the commitment required to reach this special day.
Among the attendees, a neighbor of the Johnson family captured the essence of the moment, saying, “Anytime anybody gets adopted, it’s just a beautiful example of God’s love for us, taking us and just giving us a home.”
By the ceremony’s end, the young boy walked away not only with legal documentation but also with a new identity, a forever family, and a supportive community ready to cheer him on as he steps into his future.
