A Baltimore resident has captured public admiration through a noteworthy action. After her son committed theft from a food truck’s tip jar, she took swift action to correct the wrongdoing.

Tonya Gray, a pastor, approached Sarac, who operates a hot dog truck, and identified herself as the mother of the man who had been caught taking money from the tip jar on a previous stream.
“When I first saw it, I said, ‘That is not how he was raised, that’s not what we do. You don’t steal from anybody,'” Gray stated.
Gray inquired about the amount taken, which Sarac estimated to be around $30.
In a gesture of restitution, Gray retrieved the money from her purse and returned it to its rightful place.
“My son wasn’t raised like that,” she remarked. “My son drinks, and when he drinks, he does stupid stuff.”
Her next statement was particularly impactful:
“I want to pay you back because you don’t deserve to be stolen from.”
Gray emphasized the significance of her actions as a moral imperative, supporting both hard work and community service.
“My son had no right to go in and take anything from him,” she asserted. “He deserved to be made whole. He’s on a corner, he’s doing a service, he’s helping a community. He has the right to what he has worked hard for, to be whole.”

“Hold your child accountable. Don’t ignore it… don’t allow the incident or the situation to embarrass you to the point where you’re not willing to stand up,” she advised. “Our children are not trash, they’re troubled.”
She also noted that her son is now undergoing treatment.
