University of Georgia Professor Under Investigation Following Viral Video Allegations
A recent video making rounds on social media has brought serious allegations against a professor at the University of Georgia. The footage depicts an encounter where the professor is accused of sending inappropriate messages to a minor.
The confrontation, captured by an independent journalist from Atlanta along with a local Athens group focused on identifying child predators, features a detailed account of the alleged communication between the professor and the minor.
In response to the allegations, the University of Georgia has taken action by removing the instructor from campus and launching an investigation into the matter. According to Daniel Silk, UGA’s Associate Vice President for Public Safety, the University of Georgia Police Department is collaborating with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. “UGA PD has been in communication with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and is working with the social media influencers to collect all relevant evidence,” said Silk.
As the investigation continues, the professor’s identity remains undisclosed, as formal charges have not yet been filed.
