The Library Store: A Cornerstone of Community Engagement at Athens-Clarke County Library
Since reopening last August, the Library Store at the Athens-Clarke County Library has become a vital hub for connecting library enthusiasts with an array of unique, affordable books. The store not only attracts patrons but also fosters a community spirit among its volunteers.
As it approaches its one-year milestone, WUGA’s Joseph Mazzola visited the store to speak with volunteers about its impact on the library community. The Library Store is set to celebrate its first anniversary on Saturday, August 29th, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Baxter Street library.
The anniversary celebration promises to highlight the store’s role in enriching the local community, offering a chance for patrons and volunteers to reflect on a successful year of fostering a love for reading and community engagement.
