Siemens to Boost Employment in Jackson County with New Facility
Jackson County is poised for significant growth as Siemens, a leading technology and energy company, has announced plans to establish a new manufacturing facility in the area. This strategic move is projected to bring over 1,400 jobs to the region within the next three years, marking a substantial $185 million investment.
The facility, sprawling over 550,000 square feet, will play a pivotal role in advancing AI infrastructure. It will specialize in the production of essential low-voltage electrical infrastructure products tailored for the data center market, as detailed on the Siemens website.
Barry Powell, President of Siemens’ North America Electrical Products business unit, emphasized the advantages of Georgia as a business hub. He stated, “Georgia’s strong business environment, skilled workforce, and proximity to other Siemens operations made the state a natural choice for their next manufacturing investment.”
This development marks the third manufacturing facility Siemens will establish within the state, reinforcing its commitment to the region. Construction of the facility is slated to commence in November 2026, with recruitment for engineering and various other roles beginning in 2027.
