Democratic Candidates Join Forces in Atlanta Rally
In a show of unity and mutual support, Democratic candidates Jon Ossoff and Keisha Lance Bottoms held a joint rally in Atlanta on Sunday. This event marked the beginning of a series of collaborative campaign efforts as they gear up for the upcoming elections in November.
The rally featured speeches from both Ossoff and Bottoms, where they emphasized their collective vision for Georgia. Highlighting the importance of their partnership, an advisor mentioned to the Associated Press that this rally is the first of many planned joint appearances.
Keisha Lance Bottoms, who is vying for the position of governor, stated, “As your next governor, I look forward to working with Jon to deliver for people across Georgia.” Her campaign focuses on key issues such as expanding Medicaid and reducing housing costs.
In the upcoming elections, Bottoms will face either Burt Jones or Rick Jackson in the gubernatorial race, while Ossoff will compete against Mike Collins or Derek Dooley for a seat in the US Senate. The Republican candidates will be decided in the runoff elections scheduled for June 16.
