The Oconee Cultural Arts Foundation Expands into Performing Arts
For over two decades, the Oconee Cultural Arts Foundation (OCAF) has served as a cornerstone of artistic expression in Oconee County, primarily focusing on the visual arts. With offerings that include courses in writing, crafting, and dance, the nonprofit is now broadening its horizons by embracing the performing arts. In a recent discussion with WUGA’s Havivah Saltz, OCAF Board Member Vicky Moody and Events Manager Christina Cruz shared insights into this exciting new chapter.
Marking its foray into theater, OCAF is set to premiere its first production, “Almost Maine,” at Rocket Hall, located on the OCAF campus. This inaugural show is scheduled for Valentine’s Day weekend in 2027, promising a memorable experience for the community. For those interested in participating or attending, more information is available at ocaf.com.
