Is There a Specter in the Athens-Clarke County Library’s Heritage Room?
Hidden away within the Athens-Clarke County Library, the Heritage Room serves as a hub for local history and genealogy enthusiasts. While it may not attract a large footfall, whispers of a ghostly presence have piqued interest. WUGA’s Havivah Saltz ventured into this secluded space to converse with Rachel Bentley, a Heritage Room Specialist, and unravel her eerie tale.
This article launches “Ghost Gabs,” a series dedicated to ghostly narratives from Athens. Should you wish to contribute your own spectral story, reach out via email to havivahsaltz@uga.edu.
