Key Dates for Voter Registration and Absentee Ballots in Georgia
As the 2026 midterm elections approach, Georgia residents are reminded of crucial deadlines to ensure their participation. The cutoff for new voter registrations, as well as updates to existing voter information, is set for Monday, October 5th.
For those opting to vote via absentee mail-in ballots, requests must be submitted by October 23rd.
There are multiple ways for voters to complete their registration: online, by printing and dropping off their application at the elections office, or in person. Specifically, residents of Athens-Clarke County can submit their applications at several locations, including the ACC Elections Office, ACC Library, ACC Tag Office, and State Patrol on US 29N.
Voters can access sample ballots for the upcoming election online through the ACCGov website. These samples provide insights into all available offices in Athens-Clarke County, including gubernatorial and senatorial candidates.
Election day is slated for November 3rd, with the early voting period stretching from October 13th to October 30th.
