New Superintendent Engages Clarke County Community with Informative Sessions
Dr. Jennifer Scott, the newly appointed Superintendent of the Clarke County School District (CCSD), is set to host a series of “Progress and Plans” meetings to connect with the community. These sessions aim to provide a comprehensive update on the district’s achievements and outline future strategies.
Residents of Clarke County are invited to participate in any of the three identical meetings. The schedule is as follows: the first session will take place on Tuesday, August 25, at Heard Park. The second meeting is slated for Thursday, August 27, at the Athens-Clarke County Library, and the final session will be on Monday, August 31, at Rhema Christian Fellowship. Each meeting is scheduled from 5:30 to 6:00 pm.
Community members who wish to voice their questions or concerns can do so in advance by emailing feedback@clarke.k12.ga.us or by filling out an anonymous form.
Having served as the Interim Superintendent for a year, Dr. Scott officially began her role on July 1. Her leadership marks a new chapter for CCSD, and these meetings are part of her initiative to engage the community actively.
