Clarke County School District’s New Superintendent Unveils Future Plans
The Clarke County School District is embarking on a series of community meetings to discuss its strategic direction under the guidance of its new superintendent. These sessions aim to engage local residents and provide insights into the district’s future initiatives.
On August 25th, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., the first meeting will take place at Heard Park. This is the initial gathering in a three-part series titled “Progress and Plans,” where Dr. Jennifer Scott, the newly appointed superintendent, will outline the district’s developments and upcoming projects.
Subsequent gatherings are scheduled for Thursday, August 27th, at Athens-Clarke County Library Community Room, and Monday, August 31st, at Rhema Christian Fellowship. Both events are set for 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., offering consistent content for attendees at each location.
Community members are encouraged to voice their questions and concerns in advance. They can do so by emailing feedback@clarke.k12.ga.us or by filling out an anonymous form. These inputs will help shape the discussions and ensure that the community’s voice is heard.
