Community Input Sought for Enhancements in Athens-Clarke County

The Athens-Clarke County Leisure Services Division is reaching out to the community to gather opinions on upcoming projects aimed at enhancing local amenities. Residents have the opportunity to voice their ideas and suggestions for the planned developments at Southeast Clarke Park.

Athens-Clarke County is looking to secure funding through a Recreational Trails Program grant from the state of Georgia. This funding will be combined with resources from the SPLOST 2020 initiative to facilitate the proposed park improvements.

Residents are encouraged to participate in the feedback survey, which will be open until Friday, July 10th. This is a chance for Athenians to contribute to the decision-making process that will shape the future of their community spaces.

In addition to the park improvements, the ACC Unified Government is also seeking feedback regarding Athens Transit services. A separate survey has been made available for transit users to share their experiences and suggestions for service enhancements.

The transit survey is voluntary and will remain open until July 31st. Both surveys are accessible on the ACCGov website, which can be found under the ‘Get Involved’ section.
