Federal Housing Funds Utilization Report Released by Athens-Clarke Officials
Athens-Clarke County has disclosed a draft report illustrating the allocation and impact of over $1.27 million in federal funds dedicated to housing and community development for the fiscal year 2025-26. This report provides a comprehensive view of how these resources were managed and distributed across various initiatives.
The Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER) highlights the deployment of $1,214,702.64 from Community Development Block Grant funds alongside $61,270.83 from HOME Investment Partnerships funds. The financial overview spans activities from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026, detailing the projects funded, expenditure patterns, and the demographic reach of these investments.
Community members interested in examining the report can access the draft online via the Athens-Clarke County Housing and Community Development website. Physical copies are also available for review at the Housing and Community Development Department located at 133 E. Washington St., as well as at the East Athens Development Corporation, 410 McKinley Drive.
